   He was going on the road for home, when he met with two tinkers on the road, and they were going the road to this town, the tinkers said we'll go this near way and it will save a couple of mile travelling. Allright says he, when they were going down the steps the nearway on the style he throught of the advice the woman gave him to Never take a near way when he could keep the road. He turned on to the road again and went on to the town, & met the two tinkers in the town and they asked him was he going to lodge here for the night & he said yes. Well we'd better be in the wan lodge together. When it was time to go to bed, the tinkers went off and then he saw the woman with the red hair & he thought she was a young girl, and he made up his mind after the advice he got that he would not stay there. So when he got a chance of her he moved the back way into the yard.
