    When a man is going to make a losset he gets two boards and puts ten holes in each board and then he comes along with long sticks and puts them in the holes in the boards. Each stick is put in to a hole in each board. After that he comes along with hazel, sally or any other kind of rods. First he drys the rods in the chimney before he can use them. Then he starts to plat them in and out through the sticks that he had put into the boards until he has the bottom finished then it is left up (?) for a few days until it is seasoned and then it is used
