Will got poorer and poorer and one morning he was going to work, and he said to himself "I'd do anything for money". An the very minute a little small man came around the corner. "Good morrow Will" said he. Good morning yourself answered Will. "I am very hard up for money" said he. "I will give you all the money you want, if you promise to me after seven years to come with me". "I will" said Will. At the end of seven years the fairy came back for Will. He said to the fairy "take up the sledge and give this a few belts till I finish the shoeing of a neighbours horse". The fairy took up the sledge but for his life he could not leave it down. "I'll leave you another seven years if you take this out of my hands". Will did not feel the seven years going but he was watching for the fairy. The fairy came into the house. Will and his wife were fighting. Will said to the fairy "Sit down in the armchair(continues on next page)
