    Holy Thursday
    On this day the old peopled got their hair trimmed and nails cut, as they abstained from doing this during Lent, as a form of penance. Because of this custom it was called clipping Thursday.
    The Three Risbac days.
    These days are the last two of March and the first of April. The old people always looked forward to these days as a period of high wind and storm. They would never plant or sow anything during these days as they would say the wind would sweep it with the old cow. If people are very sick and live past these days there are great hopes of recovery from their illness.
