The people in olden times did not wear boots until they were twelve or thirteen years of age There are no accounts of people who never wore boots The children at present do not go barefooted in the winter they wear boots or shoes but they do not in the Summer In olden times when the women were going to the market they brought their boots in a basket and put them on when they reached the town The boots are mostly bought in shops nowadays because there are not many local shoemakers There is one in our district and the trade was not in the family.,
