  1. In the olden times the people used to have three meals the breakfast the dinner and supper. At the breakfast they would have either potatoes or porridge and buttermilk to drink. At the dinner they would have potatoes and butter and buttermilk. At the tea they would have porridge and buttermilk and after that they would have tea and a bit of bread. At Easter they would have prizes for whoever eat the most eggs. At Christmas they would have potato bread and boxty. The potato bread is now gone out of fashion.
