  1. I would grate the potatoes and when I would have the water strained off the potatoes I would put them in a basin and put a pound of flour in along with them and mix them together. Then I would put a tea spoonful of salt and half a tea spoonful of soda and mix all up together. Then I would shape it like a loaf and put it in the oven and leave it there for an hour. Then I would take it up and it would be ready to eat.
