  1. Information from James Morris, Cloone, Mohill
Written by James Browne, Cloone, Mohill
Once a man from Drumkirk[?] went to Longford Town. He bought a new barrow and a 20 stone sack of meal. He put the meal on the barrow and wheeled it home without resting. The road at that time was very bad. Distance about 12 or 13 miles.
My Grandfather used to mow an Irish acre in a day with a scythe and has finished early. His name was Willie Browne.
