  1. It was said that a Scotch soldier was killed in Currycramp, Gortletteragh. Two of them got seperated from their companions, and came upon a man named Blake working near the stream between Currycramp and Drumgrania. His wife a red-haired woman, named Crowe, was bathing clothes at the river. Some argument arose between them and the soldiers; one of the latter being killed while the other made his escape.
