  1. In the famine times long ago people had hard times. There was no food and the people were dyeing with hunger. The people even died in the ditches along the lanes. Some people gathered the old potatoes they had thrown away the year before and eat them.

  2. Once upon a time there was a man and is name was Jimmy Anthony. The priest got a new house and Jimmy said that he would run him to Cornageeha which is about three miles away. So the morning they were going Jimmy went out and took the shoes
