  1. Frances Sheridan is a man living in the townland of Carnee; about two miles from Mohill. In this townland there is a great big fort, which is supposed to be the most ancient fort to be got.
    This man lived about a quarter of a mile from the fort. and his land runs just by the fort. Early in the spring about two years ago Frances Sheridan set a plot of cabbage and it was growing very well; This man had two great big goats, and he thought they might get into the plot and eat it; So he planned that he would bring the two
