  1. Long ago, the people used to eat only two meals in the day. They always worked for a couple of hours before their breakfast. The breakfast consisted of porridge and sometimes they used to eat potato bread. They used to eat potatoes and boiled turnips at their dinner. Every Thursday evening, the people used to go fishing and the fish that they used to catch they would have them for their dinner on Friday.

The people would get up about six o'clock each morning and go out and work until eight or nine. Then they would come in and have their breakfast and for this, they had eaten porridge and milk.
