Farmers wife - Flummery is made from oat-meal. In order to make it, you require a wooden pail. Place in the pail the quantity required. To every pound of oat-meal add one quart of warm water. Let this remain for five or six days and stir two or three times each day. Then strain and place the liquid in an oven or pot and boil for two hours. Before boiling, flavour with salt and sugar. It is served hot or cold in shallow dishes with new milk or butter.
