    of Derreen was supposed to be haunted and one day Lizzie Connor went up to it to steal cabbage. There was a horse in the stable and he broke out the door to get away. Lizzie ran home and said she heard a ghost. Long ago the people believed that a mare and a dog would see a spirit quicker than anything else.
