  1. There is said to be a cure in warmed buttermilk for wounds or sores.
    A plantan leaf is a cure for wounds or sores also.
    House-leek is said to keep a house from burning.
    Cumfrey is good for polticing.
    Ferrets leavings is given to a child before it "kinks" with the whooping cough as it is said to be a cure for it.
    In old places and especially on hills there are said to be cures in wells and stones.
    Any child who never saw its father has a cure of a pain.
    They used to get a sup of milk, put soot in it and drink it. That was a cure for smothering in our townsland.
    A poltice of porridge for a pain is also a good cure.
