  1. There was a boy one time, who used to be acting very funny at wakes, so the priest told everybody to keep him out of the corpse houses and when he was not going to the wakes there was no fun as the neighbours stopping coming too. One night there was a wake and there was no one at it but the friends. There was no noise so all the people fell asleep and this boy came and looked in on the window and saw them all asleep and he took away the corpse and placed it in a flax kiln. When the people awoke and saw no corpse, and they did not know what to do. They sent for this fellow and he said he knew nothing about the corpse. At the end he said to the priest, "if you let me come to every wake while I'm alive I'll get the corpse for you. So he went and got it.
    Another day the priest was going on a sick call and there was a flood on the road so he saw the same boy in a field and called him to carry him across the flood. He lifted him and when he was in the middle of the flood he said to the priest, "I want to make my confession as I killed
