  1. Our house was burned three years ago. The fire was caused by a piece of taper which was lit and only one side was quenched and the other burned through a pile of papers. We were all in bed and the dog was in the house and when he saw the fire he began to bark. My mother was awake and heard him and got up and saw the fire. We were all wakened then and were saved.

  2. Once upon a time a great burning occurred in the parish of Mohill. It was in Jimmy McCaffrey's house. The mother and father went to Mohill and left the daughter minding the house.
