    You men of Tipperary have you heard from Donegal
    Where Rory and his gallant men caused Lord Leitrim sad down fall
    Being the second day of April in the year of '78
    I hope the youth of Ireland will keep memory of that date
    Lord Leitrim said that morning come put the horses too.
    Not fearing that untimely death so long to him was due
    My Lord I am much terrified poor Makam he did say
    My Earl its foretold to me wee'l meet Rory on the way.
    But if we chance to meet him no longer weel survive
    Bad Landlords in particular he'l not leave one alive
