  1. The custom in Mohill on St Stephen's night is a very old one. That night all the wren boys gather together in a neighbour's house and count the amount of money they had collected during the day and send in to the town for their wants such as bread, tea, currant cakes, sugar and biscuits and sometimes sweets. Then they all enjoy their night dancing and singing. There is also another belief among them that if you
