  1. Fishing
    Salmon Fishing is unheard of in this area. The fish do not come up the Rinn River. Trout fishing is indulged in by a few enthusiasts, but these fish are scarce and small.
    Perch fishing is a favourite sport although very rarely is a fish of half a pound weight caught.
    Eel fishing, by means of night lines, is carried on by some enthusiasts. A peculiarly shaped hook is attached to a few feet of line, and after being baited with worm it is dropped into the stream beside the bank.
