    Which is indeed so very small
    It greatly adds unto his call
    He left him to a neighbours goat
    For the small sum of one bare grvat.
    But then a stranger for his Jenny
    Must advance another penny.
    Though to extort he never did
    He takes but three pence for a kid
    And any person that brings three
    He will admit the third one for free
    This buck is kept in the Townland of Doogra beside the dam
    The keeper's christian name is Bryan
    And Cassidy you may subjoin
    His name and place believe the poet
    You have so now drive off the goat

    Dear John, its now I'll throw by my pen
    As my work is all serene
    But still I am your steadfast friend
