  1. The townland of Fearnaught.
Fearnaught is situated on the top of a hill. It is in the parish of Annaduff and in the barony of Mohill.
The oldest man in my district is Hugh McGuinness. He is a good story-teller. There are four slated houses and ten thatched ones in the townland. The trunk road runs through the parish.
The most familiar are the Shanley's, Faughnans, Flynns, McGuinness, and Quignans. There are fourteen families in the townland but in former years there were twenty five families. The land is fairly agricultural.
