    he saw the house on fire. When he reached the house it was all burned, and all the woman's body was burned but one bone. There was a statue of the blessed Virgin on the mantle-piece and there was not ever a mark on it. The previous evening she told a girl that in the morning she would see a sight that she never saw before.
    Before she died she told the people that she saw the blessed Virgin every night.

  2. In olden times sports were held in the townland of Fearnaught in the Co. Leitrim. The sports were continued for three days.
    The people used to come from the five neighbouring counties, namely Cavan, Sligo, Roscommon, Longford and Fermanagh.
