If a root of comfrey is slipped into two pieces and tied tightly round a hens broken leg it will cure it in 9 days.
When one has a hiccough if they get a tea-spoon full of vinegar containing sugar, and drink it, it will cure it.
Garlick is a cure for colds by boiling it and drinking the water of it.
If one has warts and if dips the wart into water where it on has been it will cure it.
If one hurts ones head and if a lump swells on it. If one puts a cold it on or a stone closely to the swell it will go down.
The juice of an onion is good for colds, it should be rubbed on.
Honey is good for a sore throat if taken every day.
If a hen lays soft eggs and if salt is put into her food she will lay with hard shells.
If one has a tooth ache and says the Lord's Prayer over a good many times he or she will become better.
If one's foot goes asleep and if one wet's one's hand and rub it on one's thigh it will not be asleep.
