  1. One night a man named Danny Kavanagh who lives in Furnace was coming home late. As he came near his house he heard a banshee crying at the door, he took up a stone and threw it at her and then went into the house. He heard the crying still at the door and he got two stones and opened the door and threw them out at the banshee. When he was going to bed he heard the door getting three terrible bangs the last bang the door got it was burst in and he went down to close the door the banshee was gone.
