  1. Long, long ago there lived two giants at born Hill in County Longford. One day they were fighting over a girl that both of of them loved. They started fighting at Rooskey Bridge and one of the giants ran away with the girl and the other took up a stone and threw it after him and it landed in Fearnaght.
    N.B. The stone is still to be seen on the side of the road at Fearnaght. It contains many marks and fingerprints.
