  1. The road I live on is called the Lismoyle road. It is the principal road from here to Carrick-on-Shannon and is a fairly good road.
    Marshal John Mitchel came this road when he was going to the battle that was fought between the Irish and the Black and Tans at Sheemore.After he won his victory he came back to the same road. He was ambushed and killed.
