  1. Long ago in this district there were some great creel-makers. A man would go around and gather a bed of rods
    Then he would get four thick sticks and sink them in the ground and mat the rods around the sticks then he will lift it up and mat the bottom into it.
    Then he has his creel made. Creels were used for carring turf and sometimes they were used on an ass with a straddle and mat.
