  1. There are various things which the farmer has which can not be got in a shop. A mat is part of an asses harness. The straw is platted in two parts and it is joined together. It is used for under the straddle on the ass. Long ago there were heather brooms used for sweeping the floor. Now there are bought brooms used instead. The heather is not as long or as good now as it was then.
