  2. Sean i gCeann's Castle
    The local ruin in the school district is Sean i gCeanns castle. It stands less that a mile from the school in Eddie Melia's land, in the townland of Gowley. This castle stands on the shore of Lough Scur, and is about four hundred years old. It was built by Queen Elizabeth for Sean i gCeann.
    Sean i gCeann's right name was John Reynolds. He was nick-named Sean i gCeann because he killed so many people.
