  1. A Cure for the Whooping Cough.
    The Whooping cough can be cured in the following way:-
    Get an ass foal, and go out three times under his head, and kiss the cross on his back while doing so say "in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost". After a week the whooping cough will be gone.
    John Flynn , Gowley. Keshcarrigan, told me the above cure. 9-12-1937 . Annie flynn.

    A Cure for the back Ache.
    Mrs John Shanley . borrick, Keshcarrigan, told me the following cure for a back ache.
    Get a rabbit skin that was killed and preserved in Autumn. Put the furry side to the back and leave it there for a few weeks. This is a common cure for a pain in the back in my locality.
