    There was once a man who was very anxious to get a pot of gold.

    There was once a man who was very anxious to get a pot of gold. He was far from home this night and he saw a light and crept round behind a bush. Under a mushroom there was a leipreichan with a last a hamer and an old shoe.
    The man said to him "Come on with your pot of gold."
    "Where would I get a pot of gold?" said the Leiprechan. "But look over in that seven-acre field, under that red flower" said the leipreachan.
    "How would I know that red flower when I'd come back again with the spade" asked the man.
    "Oh I'll tie a string out of it and then won't you know it, said the leipreachan.
    The man went home for the spade,
