In Jamestown school yard, an old stone stands on its end against the Chapel wall.
It is a flat stone, 3 feet high about 1 1/2 feet wide and 4 inches deep.
It is a bluish stone, and the upper surface is smooth and level.
There are 2 angels on the left and right upper corners.
Near the bottom there is a drawing of skull.
In the centre are crossbones. There is a cross with I.H.S.
Some people say it was a gravestone over a priest's grave, which was inside in the Church. There is a tablet to the memory of a Parish Priest on the wall inside in the Church. Jamestown Church was at one time the Parish church. Dr Slevin's is the memorial tablet.
