    There lived in Coachman's (a place quite near hear - a farm) a very wealthy woman ...

    There lived in Coachman's (a place quite near here - a farm) a very wealthy woman and her name was Mrs. Coachman. That's why we call the place 'Coachmans' to this day.
    She had only one cow, and she churned nearly all that cow's milk. She had a dead hand in a box, left beside the churn. When she milked the cow, she put the milk in the churn, and she took out the dead hand, and left it on the lid of the churn.
    These are the words she used to say
    "Gather gather
    far and near
    All you gather
    Bring it here."
    When she opened the churn
