- There is a very old gravel path, starting at Mr Lavin's Jamestown. This was a walk for the use of the O Reirne family who lived in the "Big House". It went from Mr Lavin's, to the Farmyard and from that, up to the public road at our House.
Then there was a little gate opposite our door and the path continued about 200 yards to the "Full Moon" and from that to the Shannon. Then it went on to "Rue Fort" and on by the brink of the Shannon, and out at Mr. Reirne's gate at the Bridge.
This walk was 2 miles long and 2 yards wide.- Collector
