  1. Long ago in Ireland a druid foretold that a good and powerful man was coming to banish all wild animals and serpents. The Great Ollpheist heard that he was coming, and he made up his mind to leave the country. The Great Ollpheist lived in a pool near Leitrim. It had to dig a river to escape, because it was afraid of the powerful man that was to come. The Great Ollpheist destroyed many fields by digging the river. One day a drunken piper walked beside the river that the Ollpheist was making. The Ollpheist saw the piper and swallowed him but the noise of the piper
