    there is a very large residence there, which is owned by Mr. Doyle Belfast.
    I heard from the old people that there were ghosts around the house, horses and chariots and the banging of gates could be heard there every night. There is another wood called "Dangan Wood." Dangan Wood means a wood or fort. There is a place near Dangan where there is a big tree known as Oliver Goldsmith's tree under which Oliver Goldsmith used to sit and read books, when visiting his uncle who was a member of the O Motie family.
