  1. John Feeney, native of Lismakeegan was a noted mower he always mowed with a scythe and could mow five acres in a day. He was called "[?] Feeney" ([?]: Short projection on handles of scythes.)

  2. Owen Gilmartin native of Effernagh, Kilclare, Co. Leitrim, could walk over five miles in an hour. He always went to town on Thursday and when the people saw him pass they sent their messages to town with him.
