- Rheumatism:
My father, Joseph Glancy told me that small houses used to be erected near streams, in which fires were kindled in order to raise the temperature to as high a degree as possible. The sufferers used to go into those houses and remain in them until they were in a bath of perspiration. Then they used to rush out and plunge into the stream close by. Doing this twice is supposed to cure them.- Collector
