  1. Long ago when there were giants out lived in Dunmacreena Castle (near Irishtown) There was a huge stone about 18 cwts weight outside the castle. Some trouble arose between him and the owners of Dunbally Castle and he took the stone up intending to strike the castle in Dunbally. He threw it and it fell within 8 yds of Dunbally castle. It is there still and is called "An chloc bhreac."
