  2. Mrs Kitchner lived in Crotto. She was a protestant. She always questioned her servants about mass, and was very curious to find out what used happen at mass. One day she asked her servant to bring the priest to the house to say mass. The priest came and they both conversed for some time. She then asked the priest to say mass for her lime-kilns. The priest went away vexed and the old lady got paralysed. She was in bed for years before she died. It was said that the priest cursed her.
