  1. The main road near my house is called the New Line. It leads from Tralee to Limerick City. It passes through five towns namely Listowel, Abbeyfeale, New Castle West, Rathkeale and Adare. It was made about sixty years ago and is a very beautiful road. There are old roads which were made the time of the Famine but were not much used since until for the last years the Government gave out grants to have them repaired again. Those new roads were badly needed for some people had very bad entrances to their homes. There is an old pathway leading from Banemore down to Irremore Chapel. In olden times before Rathea Chapel was built there was on old byway leading from Lyreacrompane to Irremore Chapel.
