This fort is situated mid-way between the 'monument' of Lixnaw and the Convent. It is in a field which was formerly owned by the Behans but which is now the property of the Nuns. It is called an "Lios Lár" because to the north of it lies the fort in Conway's field (already referred to) known as "Lios Uachtar" while to the south of it lies another lios or fort in O Connell's land known as "An Lios Íochtar".
