One day a man who was cutting hay went into the fort and began to cut the trees there. All of a sudden he heard a great noise like a whirl-wind and his hat was blown off his head and he never again found it. He came out at once and asked the other men if they heard anything but they said that they did not. A few days after he fell ill but he got well after some time. He never interfered with the fort again.
