There is a fort also in Ahabeg owned by Pat Costello. It is said that a woman comes from this fort every night as far as Ahabeg Cross. One night as a man was returning home he met her.

Mary Walshe from Ahabeg was going to Mass one Sunday when she heard a girl singing while milking a cow. She went up on the ditch of the fort but she could not see anyone.
