a bean into a box. At the end of the year the woman came and opened the box to find out how many Masses she had heard, but alas! in the bottom of the box was "One Bean". From this learned that she had only heard one Mass properly.

An old man who knew nothing atall about Mass saw crowds going towards the Church on Sunday morning. Filled with curiosity he followed them and on entering the church divested himself of his over coat and glanced around for some place on which to hang it.
