  1. There are several graveyards in the vicinity of Lixnaw village which are still in use but there are some disused burying places there also.
    KIltomey:-
    Kiltomey graveyard is situated about a half a mile from the village, and most of the inhabitants of the village have graves or tombs there. The graveyard is square in shape and surrounded by a stone wall, it contains countless graves and tombs. It is usually well kept as there is a man named O'Connor employed for the purpose of looking after it. In the centre of the graveyard is a mound of grass
