of the Earls of Kerry lies interred. This monument occupies the site of a Church called Kilbinnaun i.e. the Church of St. Beningnus, from which the townland now called the Monument Farm was formerly called Kilbinaun, and which ought to be its name still as the Monument is not a century old.
