  1. The seventh son of a family has a cure in the tongue for any disease a person has.
    A child whose father dies, before his birth has a cure for every disease.
    Sore eyes can be cured by an herb called "buachaillí a cighe".
    A sprain is cured by Marsh Malla.
    To cure burns a person must get the stuff which a crane vomits beside a river and apply it to the burns.
    A fox's tongue draws out a thorn when left on it.
    "Trálac" is cured by an eel's skin.
    Boils are cured by the waters from three different estates which meet and flow under one bridge together. Boils wash in the waters will be cured.
    Boils: The soup of a hedgehog.
    Warts: A person must come across a stone with a small well of water in it and make the sign of the cross three times over it and then bathe the wart in it. Also to rub a snail on the wart or to bury a piece of meat in the midden secretly.
    Whooping Cough: If you meet a man on a white horse he has cure for it. The man
