  1. Long ago there was a witch living in Cnoc na Beirne up in the end of Bengarra. There were men building the seven churches in Templemoyle, and the witch was up very late one night spinning and she saw the light down in Templemoyle and she said the place will be full of Castles in the morning. Then the men could build no more churches because she saw them. Then they cut out the image of her head on a stone and it is there still.
